LOCult Localization team

LOCult is a Ukrainian localization team founded in 2023. We strive to develop the Ukrainian gaming community by introducing new translated games and related materials to it. Our team of 16 people is quite diverse and consists of a wide range of specialists from translators, editors and proofreaders to quality assurance specialists, programmers and font designers.Having initially come together to work on a fan translation of Dragon Age: Origins, the team shares deep appreciation and understanding of the RPG genre. Our portfolio also includes visual novels, point-and-click adventures and more. Services we provide

We believe that localization enhances player experience, and sometimes it's more than just translating the dialogues and interface! When localizing your game, we will also gladly do any (or all!) of the following:

  • Asset localization: Our graphic designers can help adapting any textures or images that contain text, and our font designers will professionally localize the fonts into Cyrillic or help choosing functional and readable alternatives, while keeping the visual style of the game true and intact.

  • Testing and LQA: We like to make sure that everything in the localization is in the right place and works properly. If provided with a test build, we'll search every nook and cranny of the game until we find all of the issues and fix them.

  • Editing and proofreading: We always proofread and edit our localizations before submitting them. But we can also take a look at a translation done by someone else, e.g. computer-assisted or made by the lovely fan community. We'll assess it attentively and correct any of the mistakes, terms that don't match, and generally make sure that the finished localization ends up a seamless experience. It never hurts to double-check!

  • Promo material translation: We can translate the Steam page, achievements or any ad texts for your game into Ukrainian to let the players know right from the first impression that they can play in their mother tongue.
